CRIMEAN CRIMSON---(Outback Red x Sultans Warrior) 29” Scapes. 5 1/2” flowers. Semi-evergreen. Early. Recurrent. A bright and bold flower that is the earliest dark red to bloom in our garden. In Florida it is very early, blooming with the early yellows and is very recurrent being one of the last flowers blooming in the Fall. Substance is very smooth and holds well for one of this color. Form is very round, full, overlapped and slightly recurved. Petal edges are lightly ruffled. This cultivar makes an extremely attractive garden clump. Well branched scapes. Fertile, sets seeds easily and is proving to be a good parent for early reds and roses
