This is one of the showiest and fancy early yellows in our garden. The flowers carry a heavy ruffled and pleated petal edge that can be as deep as ½”. Petals are punctuated by a heavy pale cream pink mid-rib. The green heart is surrounded by a bright sunburst yellow throat that bleeds into the yellow of the petals. Substance is heavy and lightly textured. Form is round, full and overlapped. Well branched scapes. Fertile.
